Turning Passion Into Reality
Updated: May 11, 2018
How is it already May!? May 6th to be exact. Time is moving so fast, I just want it to slow down for a minute. [insert pray emoji]
I have been meaning to start a blog since just after my son, Cayden was born. Not for anyone to read but more so for myself. So I can look back and reminisce on my adventures in motherhood and relive the ups and downs, because there will be ups and downs, right? He will be ONE this month! I still can't believe the fact that he is almost one. What did I do all year? I can't even tell you, but maybe except, be a mother?
Mom-ing ain't easy. In fact, that is one of the main reasons I started Moms & Minis. Through my adventures with Cayden, I realized that not every mom has the same support system like I do. Some moms don't have any relatives here and I can understand why they feel lonely having to take care of their child all day by themselves. Emotions run wild, your baby gets fussy, you can't eat or even use the washroom; we've been through it all. Now imagine having someone to share those feelings with or go out with; it definitely helps to know you are not alone. I now understand why nurses and doctors always stress to watch out for the symptoms of post-partum depression. It is real and it does exist.
My goal with Moms & Minis is to create a community for Moms and Moms-to-be to connect, support, inspire and empower each other through the adventures of motherhood. Moms & Minis will host social events, pop-up markets and themed parties for kids as well as supporting some of our fave local charities. No mother should have to feel alone because there will be a community of moms who will be there to support her and have fun at the same time. Let's use today and every other day to lift each other up and support one another. Here's to women supporting women and changing the world.
